Surprise’ ½ c. Bread crumbs ¾ c. tomato juice 2 t. onion powder ¾ pounds hamburger 2 eggs 1 tsp salt. ½ t.. pepper Carrot sticks Sweet pickles sticks 2 cans Consommé Mix first seven ingredients together. Pat out 6 equal portions. Pat each portion into oval. Lay either a carrot stick or a pickle down the center. Fold over & pinch closed. Brown in oil in a Dutch oven: Pour over soup. Thicken gravy with arrowroot. Cook ½ hour
