Smoked Sausage and Rice Jambalaya

  • 2 boil in bag Success Rice
  • 1 lb. Polish sausage or smoked Kielbasa
  • 1 can 6 oz chopped tomatoes, reserve liquid
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 c. sliced celery
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 c. sliced green peppers
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce (optional)
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)


  1. Prepare rice according to the package. drain throughly.
  2. Set aside.
  3. While rice is cooking, coat side and bottom of skillet with PAM. I prefer my
  4. electric Skillet.
  5. Add sausage, onion, green peppers and celeryin skillet and saute until
  6. vegetables are tender. add tomatoes and reserved liqid, garlic Powder, thyme
  7. and Cayenne . Gently fold in cooked rice and soy sauce.
  8. Serves 6-8
  9. Takes 15 minutes to prepare.
